The Drake Relays are always an opportunity to watch some amazing track athletes compete. The Mount Vernon girls’ track team had several athletes competing. Libby Dix in the discus (4th place) and shot put (19th place), Evelyn Moeller in the 800 (7th place) and 1500 (12th place), Eastin Whisner in the 400 hurdles, Cali Whitaker in the 100, the 4×100 relay team of Lucy Wischmeyer, Kara Swantz, Olivia Haverback, and Grace Hale, the 4×400 relay team of Evelyn Moeller, Eastin Whisner, Kiersen Swart, and Cali Whitaker (8th place), and the 4×800 relay team of Eastin Whisner, Kiersten Swart, Sam Schoff, and Evelyn Moeller (10th place).
Evelyn Moeller broke her own school records in both the 800 m and the 1500 m.
Congratulations to all the student-athletes and head coach Kory Swart!
